III International Film Festival "Premonition" will be held in Chelyabinsk from 18 to 25 of September. This year, due to the epidemiological situation, some events will be held online. Nevertheless, new films united by the topic "technologies of the future" will be shown as part of the festival in three cinemas of the South Ural capital.
The festival will be opened with the premiere of the film "Closed doors" directed by Semyon Ryabukha (Saint Petersburg). The idea of this picture was recognized as the best at the Chelyabinsk Pitching of Debutants in 2019. The authors - Stepan Gavrilov and Semyon Ryabukha - have received 400 thousand rubles and have shot the film in Chelyabinsk.
The festival program includes competition films: "Yards" (dir. Andrey Korytko, 2020) about the realization of a dream, "The soul of a pirate" (dir. Aisyuak Yumagulov, 2020) - an exciting picture about the transmigration of souls, "Happiness in the envelope" (dir. Alexander Khachko, Sergey Berlov, Maxim Demin, 2020) - the film that allows you to go back in time and think about your soul.
The festival includes special shows. The audience will see a documentary about the permanent leader of the DDT group Yuri Shevchuk called "Yura-musician" (dir. Pavel Selin, 2019). Perhaps, this is the most ambitious project about the legend of Russian rock in recent years. The film's production lasted over 11 years. The film crew traveled with the musical group to dozens of cities in several tours, visited the DDT Studio and the village where Yuri Shevchuk writes poetry. The film contains fragments of conversations between Shevchuk and the author of the film - Pavel Selin over the years, the poet's reflections on the past, present and future of Russia and the world.
The picture "Etude No. 2" (dir. Andrey Burmistrov, 2020) will be shown out of the competition. It tells a story about a little boy who fell in love with a Rachmaninoff's work after hearing it on the radio. The boy is learning to play the piano on his own. Before finding his calling, the main character will face different life's challenges.
In 2020, "Premonition" Film Festival will be held at three venues: the Pushkin Cinema, the Znamya Cinema and the Impulse Film Center. The program includes master classes: "How to sell your idea", "Work of a TV Director", "Development of regional cinema", "VR for journalists and PR specialists". A famous director Sergey Miroshnichenko will hold a master class "Modern documentary cinema". Also, there will be a meeting with the actress Katherina Spitza and Pitching of Debutants. The total prize fund for pitching this year is 1.5 million rubles.
