ABOUT THE FESTIVAL



I INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL FEELING

GENERAL

In order to popularize Russian cinema and the creation of conditions for realization and professional growth of novice filmmakers, exchange of creative experience between the figures in the film industry in Chelyabinsk held the I international festival "Feeling" (hereinafter the Festival) from 7 to 14 September 2018.

Miroshnichenko.

THE SELECTION COMMITTEE OF THE FESTIVAL

THE PROGRAM OF THE FESTIVAL

 

  1. Competition program (at least 5 movies);
  2. The non-competition program of documentary films (at least 5 movies);
  3. The program VR-movies.
THE PRINCIPLE OF SELECTION OF FILMS FOR THE COMPETITION

 

The selection of films for the Festival performs a selection Committee of the Festival.

The Festival program is formed in the course of the year, until August 15.

The festival gives priority to films that have not been publicly screened on the territory of the Russian Federation.

The screening determines the organizing Committee of the Festival. Each film may be screened during the Festival no more than three times, including press screenings.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE FILMS

 

In competition and out of competition documentary programmes involves only full-length feature films produced after 1 January 2016.

The competition accepts films on DCP.

Documentary films are accepted on DCP and HD formats.

Screening copies of films participating in the festival must be in original language with Russian subtitles.

Copies of the films participating in the Festival must be sent to the organizers no later than August 10, 2018.

All terms and conditions are binding; otherwise the organizing Committee reserves the right to exclude the film from the festival program.

DOCUMENTATION

 

The contract for the demonstration of films with the indication of the value and number of impressions.

Along with the contract to the organizing Committee of the Festival should be directed to the following documents:

  • the full text of the film in the original and one of the following languages: Russian, English;
  • the list of subtitles in English, online viewing;
  • synopsis, promotional materials, press materials;
  • promotional video and stills;
  • materials for the catalogue (information about film makers, photos, including photo Director, slides, films).
TRANSPORTATION OF FILM PRINTS

 

The costs of transporting the films to Chelyabinsk and back bears the organizing Committee of the Festival.

The Festival organizing Committee bears the costs for transport from Chelyabinsk copies of the films participating in other programs of the Festival, to airport of recipient.

INVITATION

 

Questions about the invitation of guests, terms and conditions of their stay and the accreditation at the Festival's organising Committee of the Festival.

Participation of the films in the competition program of the Festival provides for the obligatory presence of one (1) representative of the films in competition (Director).

The Festival management incurs the following costs: travel expenses round trip and accommodation for 4 (four) days of 1 (one) representative of the films in competition (Director). Hospitality terms for other official guests of the festival will be indicated in their personal invitations.

JURY

 

To evaluate the competition films, the jury is created. The jury must be not less than 3 persons from different fields of the film industry (directing, producing, acting, film studies).

The Festival management assumes the expenses for accommodation of each member of the jury in Chelyabinsk and their travel to the festival and back.

The composition of each jury may not include people involved in the creation or commercial distribution of films in the respective competition.

PRIZES

 

The jury awards the following prizes:

  • Best film the main prize for best film (awarded to the Director);
  • The prize named after L. L. Obolensky for best actor (awarded to the actor);
  • The audience award is determined by audience voting, the audience appreciate the competitive and non-competitive programs.
FINAL PROVISIONS

 

Participation in the Festival envisages that all clauses of these Regulationswill be met. The Executive Directorate of the Festival has the right to decide all matters not covered by these Regulations, in accordance with the articles of the International Regulations for film festivals of FIAPF.

DIRECTOR | ANGELINA GOLIKOVA

2004-2008 Russian State Institute of cinematography (VGIK), directing Department of the feature film (workshop of V. I. Khotinenko, V. Fenchenko).
2002-present - writer, Director, Executive producer at Studio " Island".
Since 2006 is the Director of the documentary program "Free thought".
Since 2013 lecturer of the Institute of Cinematography.
The Director of such films as: "Russia: we are 25 years old", "Ring the world".
Multiple winner of the prize "Stalker" at the international festival of films about human rights.

EXECUTIVE PRODUCER | IRINA BELYH

Graduated from the linguistic faculty of the Moscow state linguistic University majoring in "Linguistics and intercultural communication" and ended director's courses of the New York film academy.
From 2005 to 2010 was engaged in procurement for distribution companies and TV channels.
From 2011 to 2014, program Director of the Festival of contemporary scientific movie "360" in the Polytechnic Museum.
Since 2014 program Director of the Festival of contemporary scientific movie "the FUNK".
In 2016, joined the team of the documentary competition of the festival and the program "Free thought".

COORDINATOR | ANASTASIA BEZRUK

In 2013 she graduated from the economic faculty of southern Federal University, and immediately joined Russian State Institute of cinematography (VGIK), directing workshop under the leadership of S. V. Miroshnichenko, and S. L. Muzychenko.
During the training worked on such projects of the Studio "Island", as "Spirit in motion" (2014, dir. Sofia Geveyler) and "Bottom" (2017, dir. Sergey Miroshnichenko and angelinaGolikova) as assistant Director, as well as on the sets of various feature and documentary projects as a Director and Executive producer. The thesis "All on the tractor!" was included in the long list of awards "Golden eagle" in the nomination "Best documentary film".
2016, works with guests and participants of the documentary competition, and the festival of documentary program "Free thought".

COMPETITION | MAYA KUZINA

Film curator, curator of special projects of the Center of documentary cinema.

PROGRAM VR MOVIES | GEORGY MOLODTSOV

Russian film Director and producer, is an expert in the field of VR content.
In 2008 he graduated from the Russian State Institute of cinematography (VGIK), the workshop documentary film by Sergei Miroshnichenko.
In 2015 he received the degree of master of arts in film and video at the School of communication, American University (Washington, USA) on the Fulbright program. Georgy Molodtsov is one of the most famous Russian experts in the production of content 360, and in the organization of the VR measures under different film festivals.

CURATOR OF SPECIAL SCREENING | IVAN KUDRYAVTSEV

He graduated from the International Department of the faculty of journalism of Moscow state University named after M. V. Lomonosov.
Since 2001 works in structures of VGTRK the editor-foreign affairs specialist, the correspondent of Directorate of the "Vesti" information programs, the host "Vesti" at "Russia-24" TV channel. Is also the editor-in-chief of the program "Industry of Cinema" and portal "Movie about.
Since 2015 the producer of the project "CARTOON movie".
Since 2013 Chairman of the Youth center of the Union of cinematographers of the Russian Federation, member of the Guild of film critics of Russia.
Since 2014 member of the Expert Council of the Federal Foundation for social and economic support of national cinematography (the "Cinema Fund").
